The Augusto Vincenzo Besio brand is present on the market of the candied fruit from 1860 with a range of typical products handicraft made that, in the course of the years has evoluted and widened in order to satisfy the crescents requirements of the more important confectionery pastry shops and national industries.

Through many generations, a tradition born in the near France at the end of XVIII the century has made of the candied one of the Savona's activities more ancient and rinomate, obtaining international acknowledgments and asserting themselves for the goodness, the genuineness and the refinement of its specialties. The dynamism and the enterprisingness of actual management have concurred to raise the qualitative level constantly, preserving at the same time the ancient prescriptions that beyond a century represent the top of the Besio dynasty. Like as a famous  example the Maraschino Chinotti, delicate citruses with the many property that are cultivated exclusively in the west Riviera; as the crystalized flowers, demanded from the most prestigious confectioneries of Italy; or as the traditional ghiacciata fruit, always appreciated in whole Europe. Without to forget the marrons glacès, still obtained according to handicraft procedures, than currently they represent a big slice of production. Deep Studies on the raw materials and the new methodologies, supported by the employment of vanguard technologies, guarantee today a great control of all steps of production of fruits and take care both the productive standards and the palate of the consumers.
